32% of the U.S.A. Completed to Date

Ok, my Journey to complete a marathon in all 50 States began in April 2004 when I ran my first marathon! Gawd, I remeber that day as if it was yesterday! The pain and anguish I put myself through was unimaginable...but once I finished I had an realization that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to! So I decided to set my mind to running 1 marathon in all 50 states! I have been hooked ever since! Here is what I looked like as I finished my first marathon (It was not pretty)! LOLSo, to date I have run 16 marathons and on the 4th year anniversary of my first marathon, I will be running #17 in Nashville, Tennessee (http://www.cmmarathon.com/home.html). This year is shapping up to be my biggest running year since I began running nearly 4 years ago. I am tentatively scheduling a total of 6-8 marathons this year. I am feeling great and I want to go for it! I have read many articles of people who have run 50 marathons in 50 days (Dean Karnazes) or I met a Phenomenal runner named Dane Rauschenberg (danerunsalot.blogspot.com http://www.fiddy2.org/) who ran 52 marathons in 52 weeks to raise awareness and money for charity! These guys are amazing runners, athletes, and spokesmen for what they are doing! KUDOS GUYS! Now, what I am doing is nowhere near that caliber but as I see it, it is an accomplishment no matter what!

Running for the most part is a solitaire sport. It can take you many places, see many things, encounter many obstacles, but it can also introduce you to a world unknown to many! A world of sights, adventures, and some really interesting people you may end up running with to help you achieve a goal you set for yourself!

If you decide to go for the goal...you need to be disciplined and structured! Do not fear what lies ahead becuase if you train properly you will attain the goal!!!

DO or DO NOT...There is NO Try!!! (Yoda)
